What is virtual adoption ?

Perhaps you can consider ''virtual adoption'' for any of our cats featured below, all of their names are listed  along with their  photographs and a short history.

Virtual adoption involves setting up a standing order for just one, two, three pounds per month - you can decide how much suits you best and no matter how small  - such support will help enormously.

You will find my bank details here

Please send me an email when you set up a standing order

In return for your support  I will send a personal monthly update to you which will include new photos of your sponsored  cat and what he/she has been up to over the preceding month.

This can be shared with family, friends or on Facebook if you wish -

An example of commencing sponsorship is below, monthly updates will be similar.

Would you like to choose a cat to support via virtual adoption ?

Sadie was part of the local colony. We noticed she had open sores on one ear (a white ear). Only a few weeks before we had picked up a cat from the same colony which has suddenly appeared from out of the blue, sadly she had serious cancer. That poor cat had to be euthanized, there was no option.

Sadie was diagnosed initially to have mange, which is highly contagious. However, this diagnosis was incorrect and had sadly led us to have to isolate her for weeks until her ear healed sufficiently to get a second opinion. The new diagnosis is sunburn which can lead to cancer, especially cats that have  white ears. Sadie has to have sun protection daily but we have also found an alternative solution which is working much better. She is happy to stay indoors throughout the day and explore the world in general only at night. She is a nervous cat, made very difficult to socialize, following the length of time she was isolated

Very old lady unable to exist with a colony – Mourna spends all day and night outside on our porch, never wanders, is totally happy but dependent

Shonee literally screamed for help when just a few weeks old. We found her in the local graveyard above our home. She was as thin as a rake and covered in paint. Worse she had the worst case of diarrhea I have ever seen. Shonee barely survived this situation because she had ingested the paint trying to clean herself. She has been poisoned twice during her life, the second time required daily visits to the vets over Christmas and the New Year and force feeding......she lives to tell the tale. She is now 16 years old.

Leo was found dumped at the side of a busy road after being touted round by children. He is Lizzie's brother.

Lizzie was found in a rubbish bin. She is Leo’s sister and they are  inseparable Lizzie has eye problems and is blind in one eye.

Chase is the son of Shonee he was born here and from a very early age reverted to 98% feral. He comes daily to say hello, have a good feed and receive an occasional dose of flea and worm treatment. Entirely dependent upon us.

Mylo was found in a pitiful state, severely malnourished and just a few weeks old. He was taking refuge under a wrecked car close to a cat colony. We don't know what happened to his mum or siblings. Mylo was unable to get to any food we provided because of attacks from other members of the colony. Despite his diminutive size he was extremely ferocious initially, now however, he is a very loving affectionate cat. He was covered in ringworm and was practically bald and he needed special food to build him up. Mylo also has to have ongoing treatment for gingivitis (very rare in such a young cat)

Timothy is the son of Shonee and was born here. He is an elderly gentleman now, amiable and affectionate.

Over the years Timothy has been poisoned twice.and on both occasions it was  hit or miss whether he would recover.

Tim never leaves the perimeter of our land and always responds when called.

Joe has been sponsored - Thank you.

Lucy is the daughter of Shonee, and was  born here. She has always bee a grumpy cat and is not keen on any of our other animals,

Getting on in years now,  Lucy spends most of her time sleeping outdoors in the summer but she demands attention from us several times a day. Lucy needed a dental checkup and recently had 2 teeth extracted. .

Sia was reported as being alone and in need by tourists staying in Bali. She had a bite on her stomach from another cat.. This was attended to and she later went to be neutered. That turned out to be a shock. The vet had to perform major surgery because of a very bad infection in her uterus. We were told that she would have died within a few days had this not been discovered. Amazingly Sia had shown no signs of illness prior to this.

She recovered well and is fine now.

Sia is a, very independent young lady but adores fuss.

We found Bennett in our village hiding behind a stone at the side of the road he was alone, skinny and very small.

Initially he needed bottle feeding and treatment for an infected eye. Later he developed a serious urinary infection and had to have a catheter fitted for 10 days, He requires special urinary tract food as ongoing treatment.

Charlie has been sponsored - thank you

Poor Milly  is featured on our '' Cats stories'' page

Olive found us.......she took over a winter feeding station we had put out as her forever home. She is a small cat still very feral, l but is beginning to respond a little and certainly lets us know when she is hungry.. She has been neutered and is dependent on us for food and medical care.
